If you haven't heard of the show Dexter, read this for an overview http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0773262/. Two of my Sister in law's were hooked on this show and after several recommendations I decided I was going to see what all the hype was about and watch it on Netflix. Well, LET me tell you about Dexter. My sister had mentioned that she was doing dishes and she was also watching Dexter on her Kindle. Her husband was making fun of her because she was doing the dishes in the dark so she could see her Kindle better. I had recently purchased a new HP Tablet on a whim because it was cheap and I thought this was a wonderful idea! I could carry the tablet around with me and watch Deter while I did my nightly chores. I got done working one night and was preparing my Dexter marathon at the sink full of dishes. After 20 minutes and several attempts at getting Netfix set up on my table,t (wrong email/password combo) I almost gave up. It's new and I've barely used it so I put it down and started the dishes, thinking I would just try it the next day when I had more time. After about 15 minutes I couldn't stand it so I picked it back up and put in the same combo I tried the first time and it worked. By this time the tablet is almost dead so I plugged it in and set it up in the window sill in front of the sink. I had dishes to do, remember? I used my miracle green tacky stuff to hold it upright in the sill and I started in on my night of Dexter and dishes. The show had JUST started and a friend of Ryan's came over with a 12 pack of beer. OF COURSE those a-holes come in the kitchen to chat. So, between taking Owen to and from Youth Group, making and cleaning up dinner, and them two talking, I didn't get to watch it hardly at all because it was pointless even to try. I maybe saw 30 seconds of it, seriously, and I just figured it would have to wait until the next day. I had forgotten about it until I heard Owen yell from the kitchen shortly after he got back from Youth Group. I rush in to find my tablet, that brand new tablet (barely used remember), being pulled out of the dish water by my Son. Somehow, it had spontaneously flew in there, PLUGGED IN!! My Son dove right in after it and tried to save it. I am in full fledged panic mode at this time and ripped it away from him. I quickly unplugged it from the wall so we wouldn't have an electrocution in the house and then proceeded to tell him how he really needed to think ahead in these situations because he could've been killed!! Needless to say I needed a stiff drink after that. I did not get to watch anymore of Dexter and my barely used tablet went straight into a bag of rice to hopefully dry out.
Long story short, Dexter almost killed my tablet and attempted to kill my Son and myself. Nicely done, Dexter. Nicely done.
